Be flexible on your date!
If you can be a little more flexible about when you fly,
you’re more likely to get a cheaper deal. Very early morning flights and late evening flights are likely to be cheaper than those in the middle of the day. Similarly, if you choose to fly midweek, you may get cheaper fares than if you fly during the weekend. Don't forget if you want to work during a flight choose an early flight - if you want a sexy flight choose late evening... you never know!

Generally, you’ll be better off if you book your flights in advance as prices can rise nearer the departure date. That said, you will find that some airlines will slash the price of seats nearer the time if the flight isn’t full.

European planemaker Airbus sold 301 more aircraft and delivered on time despite the engine mishap, it said on Friday.
Net orders, which are adjusted for cancellations, the world's largest airliner manufacturer said in a statement.
Airlines made more orders for passenger jets in China during the November air show , according to Airbus data release.
Rival Boeing so far leads the annual order race between the world's dominant jetmakers.
It sold 328 aircraft in the first eight months and posted net sales of 261 aircraft after cancellations for 67, according to its website. It delivered 308 aircraft over the same period.
Airbus last month predicted deliveries of its jets would reach 500 for the first time in 2010, beating last year's record 498.
It upped its forecast for gross orders in 2010 (before cancellations) by a third to more than 400 planes after a strong showing for both Airbus and Boeing at the Farnborough air show.
Airbus delivered three A380 superjumbos in August, bringing the total for the year to 13.

Air China has become the first Chinese airline to offer combined tickets that include domestic flights and shuttle bus services to nearby cities.
The first combined flight-shuttle bus ticket will connect Tianjin via shuttle bus with domestic flights passing through Beijing.
The service will later be expanded to hub cities such as Shanghai and Chengdu, connecting them via shuttle bus to their peripheral cities.
The new service will expand Air China’s network and make it much more convenient for passengers living in cities surrounding the nation’s airport hubs.
Previously, passengers transferring to or from a shuttle bus had to fill out a form to carry on their journey. But now passengers are able to check, book and buy combined tickets on Air China’s website or through the sales hotline.
Zhou Enyong, general manager of Air China’s marketing department, said: “Air China’s new flight-shuttle bus combined ticket brings more flexibility to the hub network.
“It is just the latest example of how Air China strives to provide more innovative services to passengers and make their lives more comfortable.”

the London route. Oman Air was the first airline worldwide to launch the OnAir service earlier this year
China Eastern Airlines said its profit for the first half of 2010 would increase by more than 50 percent over the same period a year ago as the country's aviation market recovered rapidly.
In a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange late on Thursday, the airline said a substantial increase in passenger traffic in Shanghai due to the World Expo and synergies from the absorption of Shanghai Airlines contributed to the jump in earnings.
The airline said its first half profit last year amounted to CNY1.17 billion (USD$172.6 million).
